Compensation

The compensation target for this role is: $106,300 - $125,000

Job Summary

The Senior Operations Manager will be responsible for managing the overall process of product fulfilment and warehouse receiving and distribution to Purple customers; this includes direct consumers, wholesale channels, amazon distribution, and forward inventory locations. This position will be responsible for leading two departments with the assistance of two managers. 

Job Description

Essential Duties & Responsibilities: 

 Supports, guides, and promotes Purple systems including L2L, 5S, work instructions and supports other department systems including HighJump, etc.  
 Provide leadership in continuous improvement activities to achieve Purples goals of meeting quality, cost, and delivery objectives.  
 Mentor and grow management talent   
 Holds personnel accountable for a strong work ethic, productivity, innovation, profitability, and safety.  
 Works with Maintenance, Innovations, Safety, Supply Chain, and Quality, to coordinate all aspects of process improvements. 

 

Required Skills, Education, Experience: 

 

 5+ years of management experience required  
 Manufacturing experience (3 years preferred) in rapid growing company with experience managing teams of 10 or more  
 BS or Graduate Degree in Business, Manufacturing, Engineering; or equivalent work experience.  
 Sufficient technical knowledge to effectively interface with other departments and personnel

Physical activities may occasionally include:  

  • Remaining in stationary position, often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods of time.  

  • Adjusting or moving objects up to 15 pounds in all directions. 

 

Physical activities may constantly include:  

  • Communicating with others to exchange information. 

  • Repetitive motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers. 

  • Assessing the accuracy, neatness and thoroughness of work assigned.
