The HR team is looking for an experienced and motivated HR Specialist to join our team on a 13-month fixed-term contract. This is a full-time role based in our Sydney office. Reporting to the HR Business Partner, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality HR support across the employee lifecycle, partnering closely with managers and employees across the business. Key responsibilities of this role will be Talent Acquisition across Australia and APAC, benefits administration, will take ownership of end-to-end recruitment activities and benefits delivery. In addition, you will be involved in two projects to modernise FM’s HR operations and support the implementation of new technologies, as well as contribute to broader HR initiatives and support other HR matters as needed. Responsibilities HR Admin and Coordination Be the first point of contact to provide practical HR guidance across recruitment, employee relations matters, company policies, employment conditions & benefits; Maintain up to date knowledge of HR laws and practices; Maintain HR systems and data, ensuring accuracy and confidentiality; Policy reviews and maintenance; Maintain up to date employee and employee relations records, and HR documentation; Providing back up to others in HR team across APAC as needed Provide support in two projects to modernise FM’s HR operations and support the implementation of new technologies (Record Retention; AI Tool implementation). Talent Acquisition Host kick off meetings to understand hiring needs and position specifications. Prepare job ads and post open positions for a range of professional and administrative positions (internal and external), using Workday and other systems; Provide insights on market trends and maintain regular updates on recruitment progress. Research and report on market conditions (e.g. talent neuron); Source and screen candidates, schedule & conduct interviews and assessments. Provide constructive feedback to unsuccessful candidates; Conduct employment and reference checks. Prepare offer letters and supporting documentation. Prepare and co-lead inductions and onboarding; Cultivate and maintain ongoing relationships with prospective candidates. Use social media to generate awareness of open positions. Ensure candidates have a positive experience, whether they are successful or not. Collaborate with Centre of Expertise - Talent Acquisition team in head office (US) to ensure local process and practices are aligned with corporate direction. Benefits Manage employee benefits administration, including employee queries, coordination with external providers, vendor renewal activities and support for benefit-related processes and communications. Collaborate with Centre of Expertise – Benefits team (Based in EMEA) to ensure local process and practices are aligned with corporate direction. Act as ‘Wellbeing Champion’ – designing and implementing events and actively promoting FM’s wide range of benefits and rewards. Qualifications Education Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business or a related field. Professional HR qualification desirable. Experience 3-5+ years of experience in an HR or Sourcing/Recruitment role in a professional services environment. Experience with Australian employment legislation, handling employee relations matters and providing advice and direction to managers and employees. Effective & influential communicator, with strong oral & written communication skills. Customer service orientated. Experience using LinkedIn Recruiter. Familiarity with sourcing tools and techniques, including Boolean search and digital sourcing platforms. Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint). Skilled at partnering with hiring managers & global HR team to build effective relationships. Enjoys working in a collaborative, fast-paced environment while possessing the ability to work on your own Enjoys working collaboratively in a diverse international team. This may require meetings outside of traditional work hours from time to time. Some travel may be required.
