Your Role:  

At Siegfried we are currently looking for a Senior Purchasing Manager to join our procurement team in our site based in Minden.

Your main responsibilities will be:

- Purchasing and Procurement: Responsibility for the strategic and operational purchasing of raw materials and supplies, particularly in the Solvents and Commodities division.

- Category Management: Developing and implementing a sustainable purchasing strategy for the Solvents & Commodities division, analysing market trends and identifying opportunities for cost reduction.

- Supplier Management: Establishing and maintaining long-term relationships with national and international suppliers; negotiating terms and contracts.

- Market Analysis: Regularly analysing global procurement markets; identifying risks and opportunities; and formulating recommendations for action.

Your Profile:

What are we looking for?
 

• A degree in economics or a comparable qualification.
   

• At least 5 years of professional experience in raw materials procurement, ideally in the chemical or pharmaceutical industry.
   

• Strong negotiation skills and experience of working with international suppliers.
   

• Native German, professional written and spoken English; knowledge of other foreign languages is an advantage.
   

• An analytical mindset and the ability to quickly grasp and assess complex interrelationships.
   

• A team-oriented approach, strong communication skills and the ability to assert oneself.
