The Internal Communications Intern will play a key role in enhancing the We Are Brooks intranet experience for Legal, Compliance, HR, and Trade Compliance, ensuring our content is modern, engaging, and easy to navigate.
This role is ideal for someone who is a strong writer, digitally savvy, and excited about improving how employees experience information across the enterprise.
What You’ll Do
Content Refresh & Simplification
- Review and update existing intranet content across Legal, HR, Compliance, and Trade Compliance
- Simplify complex policy and program information into clear, employee-friendly language
- Ensure consistency in tone, structure, and naming across pages
Improve Interactivity & User Experience
- Identify opportunities to make pages more engaging (e.g., FAQs, decision trees, quick links, visual summaries)
- Reformat static content into more dynamic, interactive formats
- Partner with teams to streamline navigation and reduce friction in finding key resources
New Content Development
- Draft new content for key topics (e.g., policies, processes, resources, “how-to” guidance)
- Support creation of spotlight features (e.g., “What you need to know,” “Top questions,” “Start here”)
- Collaborate with functional leads to identify content gaps and opportunities
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Legal, HR, Compliance, and Trade Compliance teams to gather insights and validate content
- Engage stakeholders to understand employee pain points and improve usability
- Incorporate feedback to continuously improve content quality and relevance
Content Governance & Maintenance
- Help establish consistent content standards
- Support ongoing updates to ensure accuracy and relevance of information
What You’ll Bring
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to translate complex information into clear, concise, user-friendly content
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Comfort working across multiple stakeholders and functions
- Interest in digital content, intranet design, or user experience
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (bonus: experience with SharePoint or intranet platforms)

Work Location & Flexibility
