Job description
Ubisoft Romania is seeking an IT Contract Project Manager to support the governance and optimization of IT contracts across Infrastructure & Platforms (I&P).
This role focuses on driving operational excellence in contract lifecycle management, ensuring that contract renewals are anticipated, structured, and optimized. Acting as a key partner to IT Vendor Management, Procurement, and Finance teams, the role will help improve contract visibility, support decision-making through data insights, and enable better cost and usage optimization.
What you’ll do
Contract Lifecycle Coordination & Project Management
- Own and drive the renewal tracking and planning for a portfolio of IT contracts (timeline management, stakeholder alignment, risk anticipation).
- Coordinate cross-functional stakeholders (IT, Procurement, Legal, Finance) to ensure smooth and timely contract renewals.
- Support business teams in preparing contract renewals, ensuring they challenge scope, usage, and commercial conditions.
- Lead end-to-end management of smaller contracts, from preparation to renewal, in collaboration with Procurement.
- Contribute to defining and implementing contract renewal processes, guidelines, and best practices for internal stakeholders.
- Ensure proper documentation and visibility of contract activities (e.g., Confluence one-pagers, renewal summaries).
Contract Analysis & Optimization
- Analyze contract usage (e.g., licenses, infrastructure usage) to identify optimization opportunities and cost-saving initiatives.
- Support tracking of financial commitments vs. actual consumption, highlighting risks and optimization levers.
- Build and maintain simple dashboards or reports (Excel / Power BI as a plus) to provide visibility on contract performance and usage trends.
- Research licensing models, market benchmarks, and alternative options to support optimization and informed decision-making.
- Identify aging or under-optimized contracts and proactively highlight improvement opportunities.
Vendor Interaction & Support
- Manage day-to-day interactions with smaller vendors and support vendor follow-ups.
- Participate in vendor discussions and renewals in collaboration with Procurement.
- Contribute to preparation activities for larger strategic contracts (data gathering, usage insights, internal alignment).
What you’ll bring:
- Proven experience in IT project management, contract management, procurement, or a related field.
- Experience working in cross-functional environments (IT, Finance, Procurement, Legal).
- Exposure to contract lifecycle management and/or vendor-related topics.
Skills & Competencies
Project Management & Coordination
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple timelines, stakeholders, and priorities.
- Ability to structure processes and bring clarity to complex or unstructured topics.
- Comfortable driving topics autonomously after ramp-up.
Analytical & Data Skills
- Ability to analyze data and translate it into actionable insights.
- Experience with Excel required; exposure to Power BI or data visualization tools is a plus.
- Interest in understanding license models, consumption-based pricing, and cost optimization levers.
Contract & Business Understanding
- Basic understanding of contractual terms, vendor processes, and procurement workflows.
- Ability to support contract renewals by challenging usage, scope, and business needs.
- Awareness of negotiation processes is a plus (no direct negotiation ownership required).
Soft Skills
- Highly structured, detail-oriented, and proactive.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact with multiple stakeholders.
- Curious mindset with a strong interest in understanding and improving existing practices.
- Pragmatic and solution-oriented approach.
