Job Description

Parsons is seeking an experienced Marine Works Expert to provide technical expertise across the design, review, and delivery of marine infrastructure projects. The successful candidate will support the development and implementation of marine works solutions, ensuring compliance with project requirements, industry standards, and best practices while contributing to the successful delivery of port and marine facilities.

What You'll Be Doing

Review and provide technical input on marine structures, quay furniture, and related infrastructure to ensure compliance with project requirements, applicable standards, and operational needs.

Evaluate marine design drawings, specifications, calculations, and technical submissions, providing recommendations to optimize design quality and constructability.

Support project teams in resolving technical challenges, coordinating with engineering disciplines, contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to facilitate efficient project delivery.

Ensure marine works are designed and executed in accordance with relevant codes, standards, best practices, and quality requirements.

What Required Skills You'll Bring

Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline.

Minimum 10 years of professional experience in marine works and port infrastructure projects.

Strong expertise in marine infrastructure, including quay walls, berths, marine fittings, and associated structures.

Demonstrated experience in design review, technical evaluation, and resolving marine engineering challenges.

Good knowledge of relevant marine design standards, codes, and industry best practices.

Strong stakeholder coordination, communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

What Desired Skills You'll Bring

Experience working on major port, terminal, or waterfront development projects.

Professional Engineering certification, chartership, or equivalent professional accreditation.

Familiarity with marine construction methodologies, inspection, and commissioning activities.

Experience working within multidisciplinary project environments involving multiple stakeholders.

Knowledge of regional and international port authority requirements and regulations.
