Job Description
Parsons is seeking a highly experienced Electrical Expert to support the design, review, and implementation of electrical systems, with a strong focus on port and terminal environments. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership across design, construction, testing, and commissioning phases, ensuring electrical infrastructure is delivered safely, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable standards and project requirements.
What You'll Be Doing
•
Lead the review and verification of electrical designs, installations, and engineering deliverables for HV, MV, and ELV systems, ensuring compliance with applicable standards, codes, and project requirements.
•
Provide technical expertise throughout design, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, and handover phases to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient electrical infrastructure delivery.
•
Identify technical risks, design gaps, and optimization opportunities while coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, consultants, and stakeholders to support successful project execution.
•
Monitor installation and commissioning activities, resolving technical challenges and supporting quality assurance throughout the project lifecycle.
What Required Skills You'll Bring
•
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (BEng, BSc, or equivalent).
•
Minimum 15 years of professional experience in electrical engineering, including at least 10 years working with HV, MV, and ELV systems.
•
Proven experience in ports, terminals, maritime facilities, or other large-scale infrastructure projects.
•
Strong knowledge of international electrical standards, codes, and industry best practices, with experience in design review, installation verification, site supervision, and commissioning activities.
•
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively in complex multidisciplinary environments.
What Desired Skills You'll Bring
•
Experience working on major port expansion, terminal development, or marine infrastructure projects.
•
Professional Engineering certification, chartership, or equivalent professional accreditation.
•
Familiarity with regional and international port authority requirements and regulations.
•
Experience with power system studies, electrical protection systems, and energy efficiency initiatives.
•
Knowledge of digital monitoring, automation, and smart infrastructure solutions within port environments.
•
Previous experience working on large-scale international projects with multiple stakeholder
