Role overview

We are seeking a dynamic and highly organized Project Leader for Italy who will serve as the Single Point of Contact (SPOC) for a major strategic project.

The Project Leader will be accountable for end-to-end project execution, ensuring seamless coordination between customer, global stakeholders, vendors, and the global team.

The ideal candidate must demonstrate strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and the ability to drive outcomes in a multicultural, fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Project Leadership & Execution
  • Lead the planning, execution, monitoring, of the assigned project within Italy.
  • Own the complete project delivery, ensuring timelines, scope, quality, and budget are met.
  • Develop and maintain detailed project plans, risks, issues, and mitigation strategies.
  • SPOC Responsibilities
  • Act as the primary liaison between Italian stakeholders, business users, global program teams, and IT partners.
  • Ensure timely communication and alignment across all involved parties.
  • Provide weekly progress updates, dashboards, and reports to leadership.
  • Stakeholder Management
  • Engage and influence key stakeholders including business leaders, cross-functional teams, and external partners.
  • Facilitate workshops, requirement-gathering sessions, UAT cycles, and governance meetings.
  • Address escalations promptly and ensure smooth decision-making.
  • Risk, Compliance & Quality Oversight
  • Identify potential project risks early and collaborate on mitigation plans.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational standards, local regulations, and quality frameworks.
  • Drive process adherence and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Team Collaboration
  • Guide and coordinate project teams, SMEs, technical resources, and vendors.
  • Encourage a collaborative, outcome-driven environment.

Work Experience

Required Skills/ Knowledge

  • Proven experience in Project Management within Automotive or other domains.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple suppliers and complex project dependencies.
  • Familiarity with tools like JIRA, MS Project, or similar for tracking and reporting.
  • Experience in managing cross-functional teams and remote collaboration.
