Now, about this opportunity…
In this role, you’ll open new doors by identifying and pursuing new opportunities, focus your time on market origination, and support your team in structuring and closing complex deals. You’ll operate with ownership and pace, while building sustainable growth through trust, judgement and strong partnerships, contributing to outcomes that genuinely support Australian SMEs.
If that excites you, this just might be your dream job:

- Originate deals in‑market and support teams to structure and close complex transactions end‑to‑end
- Address the financial needs of SME customers independently, applying pragmatic, commercially sound judgement
- Stay informed on economic and industry trends and translate insight into meaningful, value‑adding customer conversations
- Build trusted, long‑term relationships with customers, brokers and business partners
- Champion teamwork and collaborative problem‑solving across bankers, credit and support teams
- Design and embed best‑practice relationship models that deliver strong customer outcomes and sustainable growth
You’ll likely bring:
- 8+ years’ experience in business or commercial banking, credit or a related field
- A genuine passion for supporting Australian SME businesses
- Proven expertise in deal origination, conversion and relationship‑led growth
- Strong credit writing and financial analysis capability
- A proactive self‑starter mindset, with the ability to build networks, take ownership and back your judgement
- A collaborative approach and natural curiosity that supports strong team outcomes
- Australian working rights
If you don’t meet every requirement, we still encourage you to apply – your experience, mindset and potential matter to us.
