Job description

Now, about this opportunity…

This is a front office role whereby you’ll play a key part in Judo’s Structured Finance team, taking a hands‑on role in building out a new first class Securitisation lending business.

You’ll work closely with new and existing customers to design and implement securitisation financing solutions tailored to their needs. Judo specialises in a range of asset classes that support the SME economy and require creative structuring expertise.

Internally, you will be working closely with the rest of the Structured Finance team as well as  Credit, Risk, Finance, Legal, Treasury, external legal counsel and auditors, contributing to outcomes that genuinely support Australian SMEs and fuel Judo’s continued growth.

If that excites you, this just might be your dream job:

  • being involved end‑to‑end in the origination of SME / Commercial private warehouse securitisations, typically ranging from $50-200m in total exposures
  • taking ownership of negotiating transaction commercials and documentation, supported by leading external legal counsel
  • contributing to the development of analytical models that derive implied credit ratings across a range of securitisation structures
  • building and nurturing strong relationships with our customers and key participants across the securitisation market
  • helping to actively manage and oversee the securitisation portfolio, with a focus on early identification and proactive resolution of issues

You’ll likely bring:

  • Detailed understanding and experience in the domestic securitisation market across a range of underlying asset classes;
  • Experience in arranging or executing warehouse securitisation funding facilities with a range of issuers
  • Strong analytical skills and good understanding and capability of data analysis and cash flow modelling;
  • Experience in managing clients, rating agencies and internal and external stakeholders;
  • Experience in commercial negotiation and strong presentation skills;
  • High level of oral and written communication skills.

Why you’ll love working at Judo:

  • Two Weeks of Additional Leave Every Year
  • Paid Volunteer Leave
  • Our signature Judo induction experience
  • Big Life Event Leave
  • Holistic Health & Wellbeing Offerings designed to support your best life, including access to GPs, nutritionists, coaches and psychologists via our partner, CU Health
  • Working from Home Setup Allowance
  • Flare Benefits & Discounts - access to a wide range of everyday savings and perks
  • Freedom to work flexibly with flexible work options including hybrid working
  • Equal access to Company Paid Parental Leave – up to 20 weeks
