Job position summary:

Build and maintain profession relationships with referral sources such as physician offices, hospitals, care facilities and community organizations. Promote agency through marketing and educational efforts to establish a strong presence in communities services are provided.

Community Liaison-Marketing - Hospice

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Development of marketing strategies for current and new products or services.
  • Plans and conducts regular educational seminars to promote Agency, its staff and its programs
  • Creates strong relationships with partners to include physicians, community members, businesses and the media.
  • Function independently with high-energy and creativity are personality traits that are necessary to be successful with this role.  As well as being detail-oriented and possess the ability to multitask daily.   
  • Maintain social media presence, website information, quarterly newsletter and correspondence with referral sources.
  • Maintains relationships with facility and doctor office personnel, education on the agency services and build referral base.
  • Attends community meetings to represent organization, promote services and participate as appropriate for community awareness.
  • Develops advertising and responsible for placement in appropriate media venues.
  • Plays an active part in the Corporation’s service area through membership in the Chamber of Commerce, Rotary Club, or other suitable community organizations.
  • Abides by the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability (HIPAA) privacy and security regulations regarding all aspects of Protected Health Information (PHI).

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Computer and keyboarding skills.
  • Knowledge of basic marketing techniques and public interaction.
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively

PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Previous marketing and experience.
  • Must have excellent communication, both written and verbal, and interpersonal skills.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing or related field.
  • Experience in identifying, analyzing, developing and promoting business opportunities
  • 2+ years’ experience in marketing preferably in a healthcare related environment.

  • Kansas State Driver’s License
  • Auto Insurance equal to or greater than the Kansas insurance requirements.
