Purpose of the Role

Babylonstoren is seeking a dynamic, highly organised, and service-driven Functions & Guest Experience Manager to oversee all functions, weddings, conferences, private events, and group bookings from initial enquiry through to final execution.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the full coordination, administration, and operational delivery of events, while ensuring exceptional guest experiences and maintaining the highest standards of service excellence.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 3 years’ management experience within restaurants, hotels, lodges, wine estates, or event environments.
  • Proven experience managing weddings, conferences, private functions, and group bookings.
  • Strong administrative and organisational skills.
  • Experience with quotations, budgeting, payments, and event planning.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and administrative reporting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage events from initial enquiry through to successful execution.
  • Maintain professional and timely communication with clients.
  • Prepare quotations, confirmations, and event documentation.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to ensure seamless event delivery.
  • Lead event briefings and oversee operational execution on the day of the event.
  • Ensure all functions are delivered in line with Babylonstoren’s standards and culture.
  • Create exceptional guest experiences through outstanding attention to detail and service excellence.
