Job Opportunity

  • Regional Category Manager – Electronics role leading sourcing strategy across the APAC region.
  • Opportunity to drive category excellence, supplier partnerships, and improvements in Total Cost of Ownership (TCO), lead times, and speed to market.
  • Strategic and hands-on role working closely with global leadership and regional stakeholders in a matrixed environment.

What you will be doing

  • Develop and execute regional electronics category strategies aligned with global direction
  • Embed category management and Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) practices across APAC manufacturing sites
  • Partner with senior stakeholders across Technology, Operations, Supply Chain, and IBP teams
  • Manage supplier selection and award decisions based on TCO (cost, quality, delivery, working capital)
  • Drive lead-time reduction and speed-to-market improvements through cross-functional collaboration
  • Lead supplier segmentation, panel management, and SRM execution
  • Strengthen supplier performance and long-term partnerships
  • Execute low-cost country sourcing initiatives to improve competitiveness
  • Ensure adherence to sourcing governance, policies, and strategic frameworks
  • Balance strategic planning with hands-on execution at supplier and factory level

What you’ll bring:

  • Strong experience in direct material sourcing within electronics manufacturing or complex product environments
  • Proven experience in a regional APAC sourcing or category management role
  • Deep understanding of electronics components, assemblies, or equipment categories
  • Track record of working closely with manufacturing, engineering, and supply chain teams
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to influence stakeholders and drive outcomes in a matrixed organisation
  • High level of ownership with ability to balance strategy and execution
  • Strong communication skills and cultural awareness across APAC

Nice to have:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering or related discipline
  • APICS and/or MCIPS certification (or working towards)
  • Experience in global or matrix organisations
  • Exposure to Supplier Relationship Management (SRM) frameworks
  • Experience with low-cost country sourcing and TCO optimisation strategies
