ING is looking for an Audit Supervisor – Corporate Audit Services – Financial Markets.
Corporate Audit Services (CAS) is ING’s internal audit group and provides independent assurance to the Audit Committee, the Executive Board and the Management Board on the quality and effectiveness of ING’s internal control, risk management, governance and implemented systems and processes. CAS supports ING to accomplish its mission and strategic business objectives through a systematic, documented risk-based audit approach to examine, evaluate and improve the effectiveness of ING’s (framework of) governance, control, and risk (management) processes.
CAS has approximately 20 audit teams across the globe and comprises a diverse international team of around 400 members. CAS FM is one of these teams and conducts and coordinates audits across Financial Markets globally.
The team
As an Audit Supervisor, you will report to the Global Head of Audit for Financial Markets, and will work as part of a team of approximately 20 audit professionals across the world.
In our audit-team, you will learn what Financial Markets is all about. We will facilitate you to become a highly skilled bank auditor with excellent future job opportunities both in- and outside ING and across the globe. In your first year you will mainly support audits in the Netherlands. As you mature - through training on the job and/or study - you will gradually start to team-lead audits, support CAS teams in for example New York, London, or Singapore and/or participate in complex global audits
Roles and responsibilities
Understands the audit strategy, the Financial Markets risk assessment, audit universe & audit plan.
Performing audits in various Financial Market businesses in the United Kingdom, with a possibility to participate in audits in other ING locations (e.g. Netherlands, New York, and Singapore). This involves assisting in determining the audit objective and scope; performing audit fieldwork and documents evidence and audit conclusions in the audit file.
Assisting in audit close-out meetings and prepares draft audit findings which include identified control deficiencies and recommendations.
Performing assessment of submitted issues for closures.
Stays up to date with developments internally and externally in the fields of Financial Markets and Internal Audit.

Qualifications: Educated to Bachelor’s degree level or equivalent qualification/relevant work experience. Additional audit (e.g. ACA, CIA, ACCA) or equivalent professional qualification, or a willingness to work towards one upon hiring.
Experience: 5+ years. Experience is preferably obtained in banking, Financial markets, public practice accounting (Big 4 or comparable), or an Internal Audit function in large organizations.
Competencies: strong analytical skills, professional sceptic attitude, strong communication skills in English (verbally and in writing); client oriented, team player and creative: strives for innovation, improvement and efficiency.
Candidate should have a ‘make it happen mentality’, an intellectual interest in the financial services industry and a willingness to continuously learn and improve.
