Junior Originator & Portfolio Manager (f/m/d)

We’re looking for a motivated Junior Originator & Portfolio Manager to help manage power and natural gas portfolios, identify business opportunities, and expand our client network across the country. Bring your expertise and drive to contribute to innovative energy solutions and partnerships.

What you will do

•

Support the development and management of a portfolio of local origination clients, including industrial clients, retailers, producers, corporates, RES developers, and BESS developers.

•

Identify and pursue commercial opportunities, analyze, negotiate, and close origination transactions in electricity and natural gas markets, such as:

•

Hedging services for standard and non-standard products (e.g., hourly shapes/profiles).

•

Short-term and long-term PPAs with corporate clients and renewable producers.

•

Route-to-market and balancing services for renewable energy producers.

•

BESS tolling agreements and market access services.

•

Energy supply to end users and trading Guarantees of Origin.

•

Develop hedging strategies for managing electricity and natural gas portfolios, including analyzing country spreads, time spreads, and volume risks.

•

Generate profit through transactions, portfolio, and risk management.

•

Originate partnerships with new clients and counterparties.

•

Support Middle and Back Office teams with deal bookings and implementation of new products.

•

Monitor and analyze new policies and market regulations, anticipate impacts, and inform commercial or operational decisions.

What you bring & who you are

•

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, Analytics, or related fields.

•

Experience: At least 1 year in portfolio management, trading, origination, or related commercial activities.

•

Knowledge: Expert understanding of the Croatian energy market, including fundamentals and regulations.

Ability to explain structured products and prepare commercial documents like presentations, term sheets, and contracts.

•

Strong analytical skills to structure complex energy products.

•

Excellent team player eager to share knowledge and expertise across the organization.

•

Ability to work under pressure and multitask in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.

•

Strong presentation and relationship-building skills.

•

Languages: Fluent in English (written and spoken) and proficient in Croatian. Other EU languages are a plus.

•

IT Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office; AI skills are welcome but not mandatory.
