Freemelt is looking for a Service Technician to join our team and play a key role in ensuring customer satisfaction and operational excellence. About the role As a Service Technician at Freemelt, you will be the first point of contact for technical support and service, helping our customers resolve issues and maintain their machines at optimal performance. This role is field based, requiring frequent travel across the US region to assist customers on-site. You will collaborate closely with Account Managers, 2nd Line Support, Product Management, and Supply Chain to deliver top-tier service and support.

Key responsibilities

  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Installing and maintaining machines at customer sites
  • Providing first-line support and troubleshooting
  • Collaborating with Sales, Operations, and Product Management teams
  • Provide basic training to customers on-site
  • Reporting product issues and contributing to continuous improvement

Your profile

  • Strong safety focus and commitment to high-quality work
  • A hands-on problem solver who enjoys technical challenges
  • High sense of urgency and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and listening skills

Qualifications & experience

  • Technical and/or engineering background preferred
  • Experience in customer service and technical support for industrial equipment
  • Understanding of additive manufacturing is a plus
  • General knowledge of business and commercial practices

Education & certifications

  • A technical diploma or equivalent, or a minimum of five years of documented experience in technical service
  • Valid driver’s license

Additional information This role requires frequent domestic and international travel.
