Job description

Job Title: IT Manager Location: Cairo, Egypt Industry: Food & Beverage / Restaurant Chain

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven IT Manager to oversee and manage the company's IT infrastructure, systems, and technology operations across multiple restaurant locations. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring the reliability, security, and efficiency of all IT systems, supporting business operations, driving technology improvements, and leading IT projects that enhance organizational performance and customer experience.

Key Responsibilities

Manage and oversee all IT operations across restaurant branches, head office, warehouses, and production facilities.

Ensure the availability, performance, and security of network infrastructure, servers, cloud services, and business applications.

Support and maintain POS systems, ERP systems, inventory management platforms, and other operational software.

Develop and implement IT policies, procedures, and best practices to ensure operational efficiency and data security.

Lead IT support activities, ensuring timely resolution of technical issues and minimal business disruption.

Manage IT vendors, service providers, software licenses, and technology contracts.

Plan, execute, and monitor IT projects including system upgrades, new branch openings, infrastructure expansion, and digital transformation initiatives.

Monitor cybersecurity risks and implement appropriate security controls, backup solutions, and disaster recovery plans.

Ensure compliance with company policies, data protection requirements, and industry standards.

Manage IT budgets, technology investments, and cost optimization initiatives.

Conduct regular system audits, performance assessments, and risk evaluations.

Train and support employees on IT systems, applications, and security awareness.

Collaborate with Operations, Finance, HR, Supply Chain, and other departments to align technology solutions with business needs.

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer Engineering, or a related field.

5–8+ years of IT experience, preferably within the Food & Beverage, Hospitality, Retail, or Multi-Branch Operations sectors.

Previous experience managing IT teams and multi-site technology environments is required.

Strong knowledge of

Network infrastructure (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN)

Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory

Cloud platforms (Microsoft 365, Azure, AWS, or similar)

POS systems and restaurant management solutions

ERP and business applications

Cybersecurity and data protection practices

Backup and disaster recovery solutions

IT service management and helpdesk operations

Experience managing IT vendors, contracts, and service-level agreements (SLAs).

Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.

Relevant certifications such as ITIL, Microsoft, Cisco, CompTIA, PMP, or cybersecurity certifications are an advantage.
