Purpose of the role

To provide effective and efficient accounting support to LEWIS’ Finance US HQ, delivering a high level of service and advice consistent with company and legal requirements. Supervising/managing Finance staff for accurate and timely completion of finance processes, including month end close. This is a 6-month, temporary contract spanning from July 2026 - February 2027.

Key responsibilities and tasks

Month end and management accounts

Supervise the preparation of monthly bank reconciliations

Prepare monthly reconciliations for select balance sheet accounts

Prepare monthly revenue recognition analysis, including posting of revenue recognition journals and providing updates to the Senior Financial Controller

Where multi market revenue is allocated across offices outside the US, ensures split journals are posted in line with month end timetable

Address revenue allocation queries

Prepare monthly company credit card cost analysis and accrual worksheet

Prepare the month end costs accruals and deferrals. Ensure any costs belonging to other regions are posted in line with the month end timetable.

Prepare monthly cost analysis, including global central and regional central cost splits

Prepare monthly commentary analyzing revenues and costs to the prior month actuals and to the most recent forecast

Accounts receivable cycle

Ensure all client invoices are entered and issued on a timely basis with the assistance of direct reports

Ensure all client billing has supporting documentation and filed in finance records

Supervise client debt collection process, ensuring clients are paying on time and flagging clients with delinquent or unusual payment behaviour

Supervise the recording of incoming cash payments by direct reports

Be the first point of contact for client billing inquiries

Accounts payable cycle

Ensure all purchase invoices are entered on a timely basis by direct reports. Post the unusual or high value purchase invoices directly.

Reconcile company credit card statements and post in the accounting system

Review and approve employee expense reports, ensuring they are reasonable and include references to relevant purchase orders numbers and supporting documentation

Prepare weekly payment runs, including suppliers, credit cards and staff expenses

Oversee the US purchase order (PO) process

Provide support to the Senior Financial Controller with forecasting outgoing cash

Build and maintain relationships with key supplier contacts

Tax Compliance

Prepare annual 1099 filing compliance

Support the Senior Financial Controller with filing annual US property tax compliance

Complete cost analysis for annual tax returns

Assist with local and federal compliance filings as needed

Team management

Line manage Finance Executives, where relevant, providing regular feedback (ad-hoc and scheduled check-ins)

Ensure that line reports are supported and receive relevant training to fulfil the role’s expectations

General

Assist in the year-end audit process

Complete ad-hoc reports and/or analysis as and when required

Be an effective finance business partner, providing sound commercial advice to the business management as and when required

Contributes to and supports the continuous improvement of finance systems, practices and policies ensuring they underpin our Company culture

About you

At least 5+ years of accounting experience

Experience managing core accounting processes (raising supplier invoices, credit control, accounts payable, banking, cashbook, reconciliations)

Stong English written and oral communication skills are essential

IT literate with a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel

Knowledge of NetSuite is a plus

Ready to work with international teams, based in different offices

Well organized, strong ability to prioritize, common sense; a pragmatic approach; strong attention to detail

Excellent presentation, written and verbal communication skills

Collaborative self starter with initiative, who is goal driven

Creative thinking “outside the box” to provide solutions and solve problems

Proven record of managing projects through to completion

Energetic, confident, charismatic - a credible team player

The expected salary range for the Finance Manager position is between $75K - $95K annually. Base annual salary is determined by factors such as location, experience, and expertise.
