About us

For over 125 years, T&G Fresh has nourished generations of Kiwis with fresh fruit and vegetables. We grow, pack, market, sell, distribute, import and export fresh produce from our own orchards and farms, as well as from over 700 Kiwi growers.

We are New Zealand's largest producer and packer of hothouse tomatoes. These crops are grown in state-of-the-art, environmentally controlled glasshouses, across our four North Island sites, and are packaged for both local and export markets all-year round.

About the opportunity

We’re looking for physically fit candidates to join our Glasshouse Worker team on a casual basis. You will be working with our tomato crop in our Tuakau glasshouse.

This is a hands-on role where you'll be involved in tasks such as:

•

Supporting crop rotation activities, which are physically demanding and involve lifting up to 25kg

•

Picking and harvesting tomatoes

•

De-leafing and pruning plants

•

Clipping and twisting vines

This is an active role where you’ll be on your feet for most of the shift, including bending, reaching, and lifting.

About You

We’re looking for team members who are

🍅 Physically fit, able to lift up to 25kg and handle physically demanding tasks

🍅 Prior horticulture experience would be an added advantage

🍅 Reliable, hard-working and enjoy working in a team

🍅 A positive attitude & willingness to learn new skills (training provided)

🍅 Comfortable working in warm to hot conditions and on a high trolley when required

🍅 Available to work casual shifts during glasshouse operating hours (typically Monday to Saturday, 7:30am – 4:00pm)
