Refurbish Repair Technician

What will I be doing?

The technician plays a key role in maintaining operational efficiency by returning products to service-ready condition through structured refurbishment and quality verification processes.

Repair & Refurbishment Technician

Responsibilities

● Inspect, diagnose, and evaluate returned or used equipment to determine repair and refurbishment requirements

● Perform repairs, part replacements, cleaning, and restoration according to established procedures, using appropriate tools and safety practices

● Test refurbished equipment to verify functionality, performance, and quality standards, documenting findings and identifying root causes of recurring failures

● Maintain accurate service records, parts usage logs, and inventory tracking; report shortages and communicate findings to supervisors and cross-functional teams

● Support continuous improvement by providing feedback on product reliability, contributing to process development, and participating in quality audits

● Maintain tools, equipment, and workstations in a clean, organized, and safety-compliant condition

Qualifications

● High school diploma or equivalent

● Mechanical and/or technical aptitude with hands-on troubleshooting and diagnostic skills

● Strong attention to detail, quality focus, and ability to interpret technical documentation

● Effective time management and ability to maintain productivity while performing detail-oriented work for extended periods

● Clear communication and team collaboration skills

● Proficiency or willingness to learn relevant software tools including xTuple ERP (to be replaced with Salesforce soon), Zendesk/Salesforce, FedEx ShipManager/UPS WorldShip/ShipStation, Shopify, Smartsheet, and Google Workspace

● Prior inventory management experience is a plus

● Passion for the entertainment or broadcast industry is a plus
