The Re:Cognition Health Clinics in London, Winchester, Birmingham, and Bristol and four USA sites, are major centre’s for international trials of disease-modifying and new symptomatic drugs for Alzheimer’s disease and other neurological conditions in adults and children. Our multi-disciplinary team work collaboratively to provide a full service, patient-centred approach using the latest progressive medical research and evidence-based treatments.

The role is to support the smooth and efficient running of our clinics and services, ensuring patients are welcomed and looked after and that all administrative duties are performed in a professional, timely and accurate way.

We are seeking enthusiastic and proactive individuals who enjoy patient contact and working in a busy, friendly, multi-disciplinary team environment to support us in the delivery of a quality service. You will work collaboratively to provide secretarial and administrative services, supporting the Consultants clinics, working closely with the onsite manager, and Private Practise Manager.

To support the overall running of our clinical services, maximising clinical bookings

Meet and greet patients/carers providing a welcoming environment and highly positive first impression of the practice

Liaison with consultants and clinicians to develop service culture and clinician satisfaction

Ensure the smooth running of the reception area and consulting rooms

Confidently manage busy patient areas

Discussing services and products with patients and consultants

Booking in patients and supporting administration for other sites, as and when required

Typing and formatting medical letters

Completing referrals and diagnostic referrals

Managing clinic diaries and ensuring that appointments run to time liaising with consultants, patients and wider team

Creating invoices and collecting payments on the day of the patient’s appointment

Liaising with insurance companies and following up outstanding accounts

Working as part of a rota system to cover extended clinic hours

Credit control for self-pay patients and attending weekly debtors meeting

The Candidate

The successful candidate will have great organisational skills and will be able to prioritise their workload. A high standard of work presentation and accuracy are essential. Secretarial experience of a minimum of 1 year within healthcare is essential. Working on site in our clinic in London is essential. Experience in delivering private services is highly desirable .

Requires excellent customer service skills

Strong administration skills and experience are essential

Good communication skills

To act in a professional and caring manner towards patients, visitors and colleagues at all times.

Salary: £32,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on experience

Contract : Permanent, full time
