Role Overview
As SiGMA World continues its rapid international expansion, we are seeking a visionary, hands-on, and execution-focused CTO to lead the next phase of our technological evolution.
This is a strategic leadership role with direct responsibility for the Group's technology vision, software architecture, engineering teams, infrastructure, cybersecurity, integrations, and digital innovation initiatives. The successful candidate will unify technology efforts across all business units, establish engineering excellence, and build scalable platforms that support the entire SiGMA World ecosystem.
We are looking for a CTO who combines executive leadership with strong technical credibility. The ideal candidate will not only define the technology roadmap but will also possess the hands-on technical expertise necessary to understand our systems, challenge architectural decisions, mentor engineering teams, and contribute meaningfully to technical discussions.
Key Responsibilities
- Technology Leadership & Organizational Transformation
- Develop and execute a unified technology strategy aligned with SiGMA World's global business objectives.
- Bring together multiple technology and development teams under a common vision, operating model, and delivery framework.
- Break down organizational silos and improve collaboration across engineering, product, operations, marketing, sales, finance, and event teams.
- Foster a culture of accountability, ownership, innovation, technical excellence, and continuous improvement.
- Establish clear leadership structures, responsibilities, KPIs, and development pathways across all technology functions.
- Act as a trusted strategic advisor to the executive leadership team on all technology matters.
- Build and mentor high-performing engineering leaders and technical teams globally.
Engineering Leadership & Technical Excellence
- Provide strong technical leadership across all software engineering functions.
- Maintain a deep understanding of the company's technology stack and actively participate in architectural and technical discussions.
- Review, challenge, and guide engineering decisions to ensure scalability, maintainability, and business alignment.
- Establish engineering best practices including:
- Code reviews
- Documentation standards
- Development workflows
- Testing and QA processes
- Security standards
- Release management procedures
- Implement consistent engineering standards across all teams and projects.
- Ensure engineering teams operate efficiently and deliver high-quality solutions on time.

Product Development & Innovation
- Lead the development and evolution of digital products across the Group.
- Drive adoption of AI, automation, data intelligence, and emerging technologies that improve business performance and user experience.
- Proactively identify opportunities to improve efficiency, increase revenue, reduce costs, and enhance customer engagement.
- Deliver solutions and recommendations before problems become operational bottlenecks.
- Partner with business stakeholders to transform ideas into scalable technology solutions.
- Establish a clear technology roadmap that supports future growth and innovation.
Systems Integration & Technology Operations
- Oversee all internal and external systems integrations.
- Ensure technology platforms communicate effectively and efficiently across the organization.
- Improve integration quality, governance, and execution standards.
- Lead initiatives to streamline workflows between:
- CRM systems
- Registration platforms
- Marketing systems
- Finance systems
- Membership systems
- Business intelligence tools

- Identify and resolve legacy integration challenges that impact operational efficiency.
Infrastructure, Cybersecurity & Reliability
- Oversee global infrastructure, hosting environments, cloud services, networking, and business-critical systems.
- Ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of all technology platforms.
- Develop and enforce cybersecurity policies and best practices.
- Manage disaster recovery, business continuity, and risk mitigation programs.
- Ensure compliance with GDPR and other relevant international data privacy regulations.
- Implement robust monitoring, observability, and incident management practices.
Vendor & Technology Partner Management
- Lead vendor selection, procurement, contract negotiation, and technology partnerships.
- Ensure technology investments deliver measurable business value and return on investment.
- Establish governance frameworks for evaluating and implementing third-party tools and platforms.
- Hold vendors accountable for service quality, delivery standards, and contractual obligations.
- Continuously assess technology partnerships to ensure alignment with company objectives.
Budget & Resource Management
- Own and manage the Group's technology budget.
- Allocate resources effectively across projects, teams, and business units.
- Prioritize initiatives based on strategic impact, scalability, and ROI.
- Ensure technology investments support sustainable long-term growth.
What You'll Bring
Experience
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.
- Minimum 10 years of software engineering experience.
- Minimum 5 years of executive leadership experience.
- Proven experience leading multidisciplinary engineering organizations.
- Demonstrated success delivering large-scale digital transformation initiatives.
- Experience managing globally distributed teams and complex stakeholder environments.
