The Role
We are looking for a Trainee Fire Sprinkler Technician to join our Wellington service team. This is a full-time role with a minimum of 40 hours per week, focused on learning the servicing, installation, testing and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems.
You’ll work across a range of customer sites, support qualified technicians, and develop the practical and technical skills needed to succeed in the fire protection industry. If you bring a positive attitude, strong communication skills and a willingness to learn, we’ll support you to grow.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting with the servicing, testing and maintenance of fire sprinkler systems
- Supporting experienced technicians to diagnose and repair system faults
- Helping with minor installation work and site-based tasks
- Learning safe work practices, including working at heights
- Delivering professional service to customers and site contacts
What You’ll Bring
- A full, clean NZ driver licence
- A practical, hands-on approach and willingness to learn
- Confidence working at heights, or willingness to be trained
- Good communication skills and a customer-focused attitude
- Strong problem-solving ability and attention to detail
- Clean criminal history
- Current First Aid certificate is an advantage
- Previous trade, mechanical, plumbing or construction experience would be beneficial, but is not essential
