Responsibilities and Accountabilities
- Own validation of customer eligibility for Extended Maintenance and determine pricing based on software release, contract clauses, implementation status, and approved annual rate cards
- Accountable for proactive revenue protection, by employing sound judgement and contractual interpretation in analyzing terminations, renewals and standalone EM contracts
- Identify and mitigate Extended Maintenance billing risks such as overstatement and double counting (e.g. ILF vs Subscription EM) by performing structured data analysis and reconciliation before billing
- Maintain high‑quality data in the Global EM Database, by resolving inconsistencies between source systems and manually maintained databases
- Serve as first‑level escalation point for EM queries from Finance, Sales, Maintenance, Credit Control and Regions, providing structured responses to regional concerns on data accuracy/reliability of EM Database
- Conduct/support EM review calls with Regional Finance stakeholders and ad‑hoc analyses with accurate, up‑to‑date EM data and clear explanations of variances
- Continuously seek to improve EM process, including EM Database preparation/updating, eligibility validation and exception handling with focus on process optimization through AI‑assisted ways of working/Power BI automation to drive increased efficiency and data accuracy
- Support CAT Managers / Team Leaders during the planning and monitoring of annual and Extended Maintenance Billing Program
- Act as EM process expert during SSC / Finance projects, system changes, or reporting enhancements
Skills, Competencies and Qualifications
- Minimum 3–5 years of experience in Contract Administration, Customer Billing or Maintenance‑related Finance processes, preferably in a Senior role
- Strong understanding of software maintenance models (on‑premise, subscription, Cloud/SaaS)
- Experience in handling high value, high risk revenue streams in a business-facing role, is an advantage
- Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and data reconciliation capability
- Strong Stakeholder Management and ability to challenge constructively using facts and data, while interacting with global, cross‑functional Stakeholders (Sales, Finance, Maintenance)
- Very good MS Office suite skills (incl. Excel at intermediate/advanced level); strong experience with ERP / billing tools (e.g. Oracle, Conga, Salesforce, Power BI/reporting tools) is required
- Clear, structured written and verbal communication skills suitable for Senior Stakeholders
- Ability to work independently, manage tight timelines and operate in a global, matrix environment
