Summary: The Business Development Associate plays a pivotal role in driving the growth and expansion of Stradia Africa by identifying new opportunities, cultivating strategic relationships, and supporting revenue generation initiatives. This position is central to the firm’s mission of enabling organizational growth through strategic consulting in capacity building, research, strategy, and technology. The ideal candidate will combine analytical rigor with proactive outreach, leveraging market insights and relationship-building skills to position Stradia Africa as a leader in its field. By leading grant applications, crafting compelling proposals, and collaborating across departments, the Business Development Associate ensures the firm remains agile, well-funded, and aligned with its long-term objectives. Responsibilities: Conduct in-depth market research to identify emerging markets, industry trends, and potential clients, while monitoring competitor activities. Proactively generate qualified business leads through networking, industry events, social media, and digital outreach channels. Research, prepare, and manage the submission of grant proposals to secure funding for firm initiatives. Build and sustain strong, long-term relationships with prospective and existing clients by understanding their needs and delivering tailored solutions. Support the development of high-impact proposals, presentations, and pitches for client engagements. Contribute to the formulation and execution of business growth strategies aligned with organizational goals. Collaborate closely with sales, marketing, and project management teams to ensure cohesive strategy and execution. Assist in contract negotiations to secure favorable terms for Stradia Africa. Track and report on business development activities, using data to inform performance improvements and strategic adjustments. Represent Stradia Africa at conferences, trade shows, and industry events to expand the firm’s network and visibility. Attend meetings, document outcomes, and manage deliverables with precision. Prepare regular briefings and updates on key projects, emerging issues, and operational activities; identify risks, propose contingency plans, and recommend actionable solutions.
