Summary: The Secretary and Officer Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of the unit by providing high-level administrative support to senior leadership. This position is responsible for managing day-to-day secretarial functions, overseeing clerical staff, and maintaining accurate records and communication systems. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills, ensuring timely processing of correspondence, effective filing systems, and seamless coordination across departments. This role is essential in supporting strategic decision-making and maintaining operational excellence within the unit. Responsibilities: - Act as Secretary and Officer Manager to the Head of the Unit. - Perform a wide range of general secretarial duties, including correspondence, scheduling, and meeting coordination. - Monitor, supervise, and mentor clerical officers to ensure productivity and compliance with procedures. - Ensure accurate and timely filing, storage, and retrieval of incoming and outgoing mail and documents. - Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date records of all official communications and transactions. - Carry out additional duties as assigned by the Head of the Unit from time to time.
