An up-and-coming aerospace company is adding an International Logistics Specialist to its Cincinnati team. The business creates and supplies ground support equipment, such as engine stands, specialized tooling, and asset-management solutions, to commercial airlines, MROs, and defense organizations around the world. Backed by a well-rooted parent company, it is stepping into a substantial growth period, with new operations getting underway in Mexico, Europe, and Asia. The Cincinnati site is where distribution and logistics are centered. In this position, the cross-border flow of product rests with you. You'll handle freight arriving from the parent company and suppliers worldwide, oversee fulfillment to customers through drop-ship and direct routes alike, and pitch in on building the logistics processes that make new international markets work. It's a visible role with concrete outcomes, and the work you do will help drive the company forward as it expands. Your Responsibilities See to it that operations meet U.S. export regulations (EAR, and ITAR when applicable), with correct HTS classification, Incoterms, duties, and tariffs Organize shipments at home and abroad by air, ocean, and ground, covering drop-ship along with direct fulfillment to customers Put together and capture the logistics processes that back new international operations Prepare and check international shipping documentation, including commercial invoices, packing lists, certificates of origin, bills of lading, and dangerous-goods records Watch shipments through to delivery and tackle delays, customs holds, and exceptions before customers are affected Keep ERP and logistics records precise, and report on key figures like cost, transit time, and on-time delivery Manage dealings with freight forwarders, customs brokers, and carriers, negotiating rates and settling service problems Join forces with procurement, customer service, and quality teams so logistics stays in line with order timelines Requirements Able to be on-site and full-time in the Cincinnati, OH area A track record of 3+ years in international logistics, freight forwarding, or import/export Real experience working with freight forwarders and customs brokers A good working knowledge of international shipping documents, Incoterms, and how customs clearance unfolds Organized and meticulous, comfortable keeping numerous active shipments on track at the same time An understanding of U.S. export-compliance rules (EAR) and HTS classification Strong written and spoken communication Capable with ERP or transportation/logistics management systems Preferred Awareness of ITAR and the management of export-controlled items A bachelor's degree in supply chain, logistics, international business, or a similar area A background in aerospace, aviation, or ground support equipment (strongly preferred) Conversational Spanish, an asset as the company's Mexico operations grow Experience getting logistics off the ground for new sites or international markets Certifications like Certified Customs Specialist, Licensed Customs Broker, or APICS/CLTD Dangerous goods or hazmat certification (IATA or IMDG) Benefits A 401(k) with a 5% match from the company, open to you after three months A salary spanning $55,000 to $75,000 each year Medical, dental, and vision coverage that begins the first of the month after your start date Two weeks of accrued paid vacation, along with five paid sick days A chance to come on board a fast-growing company during a sizable international expansion, with genuine sway over how the global logistics function comes together Strong encouragement for professional development, including structured training programs Equal Employment Opportunity and Non-Discrimination Policy Equal Employment Opportunity Statement: Both Haldren and our clients are Equal Opportunity Employers.
