Job description
- Logistics Planning & Field Operations Support (Marginal Field Operations) • Coordinate the end-to-end logistics of materials, equipment, spare parts, and consumables required for marginal field production, maintenance, and well operations. • Ensure timely mobilisation and demobilisation of materials to field locations, flow stations, and support bases to prevent operational downtime. • Liaise with operations, production, maintenance, and drilling teams to align logistics activities with field work plans and production schedules. 2. Inventory Management & Stock Control • Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records for all field and warehouse stock, ensuring full visibility and traceability of materials. • Monitor stock levels and consumption patterns to prevent stock-outs, overstocking, and obsolescence of critical field materials. • Conduct regular physical stock counts, reconciliations, and variance analysis in line with company procedures. 3. Warehouse & Materials Handling Management • Oversee warehouse and laydown area operations, ensuring proper storage, handling, and preservation of materials and equipment. • Ensure materials are correctly labelled, documented, and stored in compliance with operational and regulatory standards. • Coordinate receipt inspections, issue of materials, and returns from field locations. 4. Vendor, Transport & Third-Party Coordination • Coordinate transporters, vendors, and service providers to ensure safe, timely, and cost-effective movement of materials to and from marginal field locations. • Track deliveries and resolve logistics delays, discrepancies, or damages in collaboration with vendors and internal stakeholders. • Ensure all logistics service providers comply with contractual terms, company policies, and operational requirements. 5. Documentation, Reporting & Audit Support • Maintain complete and accurate logistics and inventory documentation, including delivery notes, waybills, stock cards, and issue vouchers. • Prepare periodic logistics and inventory reports, highlighting stock status, consumption trends, and operational risks. • Support internal and external audits by providing required inventory records, reconciliations, and supporting documentation. 6. Cost Control & Process Improvement • Support cost control initiatives by optimising inventory levels, reducing wastage, and improving logistics efficiency. • Identify gaps and recommend improvements in logistics, inventory, and warehouse processes to support marginal field operational efficiency. • Ensure adherence to approved procedures, controls, and governance frameworks. Requirements · Bachelor’s degree in Logistics & Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, Accounting, or a related discipline · Relevant professional certifications in Logistics, Inventory Management, or Procurement (e.g., CILT, CIPSMN, APICS/CPIM) will be an added advantage NYSC discharge or exemption certificate (where applicable)
