Job description

About the Role: We are seeking an experienced System & Network Administrator to manage and support the IT infrastructure of our India office, datacenter, and IT lab. This role is responsible for the administration of end-user devices, operating systems, servers, networks, firewalls, storage, and IT assets, ensuring high availability, reliability, and security of IT services. Roles & Responsibilities: 1. End User Computing (EUC): Support and manage laptops, desktops, thin clients, and mobile devices. Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows, Linux, and macOS systems. Manage OS patching, upgrades, and endpoint security. Provide L1/L2 support for user issues. 2. Infrastructure (Datacenter & IT Lab): Administer servers, storage, and virtualization platforms (VMware / Proxmox). Monitor system performance, backups, and disaster recovery. Maintain IT lab infrastructure to support R&D and testing. 3. Network & Security: Manage LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN, and firewall devices. Troubleshoot and resolve network and connectivity issues. Ensure compliance with IT security practices and endpoint protection. 4. IT Asset Management: Maintain a complete IT asset inventory (devices, software, peripherals). Track procurement, deployment, movement, and disposal of IT assets. Support audits and ensure compliance with IT asset policies. 5. General IT Operations: Collaborate with IT leadership to resolve incidents and implement improvements. Perform proactive monitoring and preventive maintenance. Prepare technical documentation, SOPs, and user guides. Required qualification: B.E / B.Tech / Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 4–7 years of hands-on experience in IT infrastructure and end-user support. Strong knowledge of: Windows 10 / 11, Linux, Active Directory, DHCP,DNS, Networking (LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, VPN),Firewall administration (Fortinet, Palo Alto, Cisco, or similar), SAN / NAS storage and backup solutions. Virtualization technologies (VMware, Proxmox) Experience in IT asset lifecycle management and audits. Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills. Good understanding of IT security practices. Effective communication and documentation skills. Certifications in Microsoft, Cisco, VMware, or Security (e.g., CCNA, MCSE, VCP, Fortinet NSE). Experience in IT lab management and R&D infrastructure support. Familiarity with automation tools and scripting for system and network tasks.
