Job description
Key Responsibilities Conduct advanced NDT procedures, including but not limited to ultrasonic, radiographic, magnetic particle, and dye penetrant testing. Develop and implement NDT inspection plans, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements. Analyze and interpret NDT results, preparing detailed reports and documentation. Develop curriculum and lead the training and mentoring of NDT technicians across levels 1 to 3 Deliver classroom and practical training in NDT methods in accordance with applicable standards (ASNT, ISO, PCN, or equivalent). Lead Organization certification across various NDT regulations (ISO, ASNT, etc). Endorse internal certification of the NDT technicians and align on behalf of Company to direct/guide on student external certification. (ISO, ASNT as may be required). Support audits and accreditation processes related to NDT training and certification Liaise with operations, quality, and management teams to identify training needs and close competency gaps. Collaborate with operations teams to address technical challenges and provide solutions. Promote best practices in quality, safety, and ethical conduct during all training activities. Stay updated on advancements in NDT technologies and methodologies. Requirements Job Requirements Education Bachelor's degree in engineering, materials science, or a related field. Valid NDT Level III certification (ISO 9712) – mandatory. Valid NDT Level III certification (ASNT), May be considered in lieu where ISO 9712 isn’t available. Certification as an NDT Level III technician in methods (e.g., UT, RT, MT, PT). Experience Minimum of 8 years of experience in NDT inspection, preferably in offshore environments. Experience with advanced NDT techniques, such as Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT) and Time of Flight Diffraction (TOFD). Strong practical knowledge of one or more NDT methods (UT, RT, MT, PT, VT, etc.). Strong understanding of relevant industry standards, such as ASNT, ISO 9712 ISO 17024, and ASTM. Skills & Competencies Proficient in NDT techniques, including but not limited to ultrasonic, radiographic, magnetic particle, and dye penetrant testing. Experience with NDT equipment calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting. Knowledge of quality management systems and continuous improvement methodologies. Knowledge in NDT Curriculum and procedures development. Strong instructional and presentation skills. Excellent technical knowledge and problem-solving ability. High attention to detail and commitment to quality and safety standards. Strong documentation, reporting, and record-keeping skills. Effective communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
