Creative Strategist (Design & Visual Storytelling) Location: Lagos/Hybrid Department Creative / Brand / Marketing Reports To Head of Creative Role Summary We’re hiring a Creative Strategist who can design excellently, understands the fundamentals of cinematography/visual storytelling, and can consistently align creative output with brand strategy. This role is for a high-potential creative (3+ years) who is ready to take on more ownership, think beyond “nice visuals,” and grow into a future Creative Lead / Head of Creative. You’ll work closely with the Head of Creative, strategy, and production teams to translate insights and brand direction into strong, coherent visual systems across static, motion, and video. Key Responsibilities A) Brand + Strategy Translation Interpret briefs, insights, brand positioning, and campaign objectives into clear creative direction. Ensure designs are consistent with brand identity, tone, and business goals. Participate in ideation and help shape campaign visual routes (key visuals, content worlds, visual metaphors). B) Graphic Design & Visual Systems Design and deliver high-quality assets across: Social content (static + carousel) Performance creatives (ads, banners, thumbnails) Campaign materials (KV rollouts, adaptations) Pitch decks and presentation design Build and maintain templates and design systems for consistency and speed. Apply strong layout, typography, hierarchy, and art direction standards. C) Visual Storytelling + Cinematography (Working Knowledge) Create mood boards, style frames, and references for motion/video work. Collaborate with videographers/editors to guide: Framing, mood, lighting references, pacing, and overall visual tone Review video/motion outputs to ensure they align with brand and creative intent. You don’t need to be a cinematographer — but you must understand how visuals translate in motion. D) Creative Ownership + Growth Own creative tasks end-to-end: brief interpretation → concept → execution → refinements. Improve creative quality through proactive suggestions and attention to detail. Begin supporting creative leadership by: Taking responsibility for small projects/workstreams Helping guide junior creatives/freelancers when needed Requirements Experience 3+ years experience in graphic design / visual design / creative roles. Portfolio Must Show Strong brand-led design (not just random aesthetics) Social/digital-first creative work Campaign thinking and consistency across multiple assets/formats Tools Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) Figma (or similar) Bonus: After Effects or any motion/video exposure Skills & Competencies Strong design fundamentals (typography, grid, composition, art direction) Strategic mindset: understands “why” behind visuals Ability to interpret briefs and ask smart questions Clear communication + collaboration with cross-functional teams Ownership mentality, growth mindset, and leadership potential Strong time management in a fast-paced environment Benefits Competitive Compensation Package – Structured to recognize performance and reward impact.
