We are seeking a Corporate Financial Analyst to join our team. The Financial Analyst plays a key role in coordinating the financial reporting and analytics of our business units including oversight of financial data. This role will support the Corporate FP&A team and is based in NYC where our executive team sits.Job Functions
· Support the finance department with ongoing analysis for products, business lines, business units, and the overall company
· Monitor specific P&L and balance sheet line items, research and provide insights to variances.
· Create financial models and analyses to finance leadership and executive teams with actionable insights
· Work with business partners on issues and assist with identifying resolutions
· Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial review on budget vs actual
· Assist in data compilation and preparation of exhibits and schedules for internal reporting
· Calculate and track key business metrics
· Provide financial analyses to support strategic initiatives
· Review supplier expense spend
· Help manage headcount & compensation planning, reporting, and tracking
· Ensure follow-up action when necessary and provide updates to the management
· Complete special projects, ad-hoc reporting, and any other job-related duties required to support the department objectives
Ideal Candidate
· 1-2 years of experience in finance related positions which includes accounting, budgeting, financial analysis, and financial budgeting
· Experience using Workday Adaptive ERP
· Previous insurance experience is a plus
· Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, formulas, modeling, data consolidation)
· The desire to build and improve efficiencies of current processes & files
· A drive to proactively cultivate relationships with colleagues and Business Unit owners
