About the role

St John's CE First School is looking for a Midday Supervisor to join our fantastic team. Could this be you?

£4,679 annual salary, pay award pending (Grade 1)

This job is Part Time - Term Time Only for 8.33 hours per week and 38 weeks per year.

It is offered on a Temporary basis until 31-Aug-2027.

Approximate start date 01-Sep-2026.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to support pupils through their lunch break.

The role involves providing high quality supervision to ensure the safety, general welfare and behaviour of pupils during the lunchtime period. You will be required to assist with setting up and clearing away of tables and chairs in the hall, supporting the children in the lunch hall, basic cleaning duties around the dining area and supervision of children when outside on the playground.

Keeping Children Safe in Education

The school will conduct online searches of shortlisted candidates. This check will be part of a safeguarding check, and the search will purely be based on whether an individual is suitable to work with children. All aspects of social media and internet searches will be conducted. As care must be taken to avoid unconscious bias and any risk of discrimination, a person who will not on the appointment panel will conduct the searches and will only share information if and when findings are relevant and of concern.
