(Y)Our Opportunity
We are looking for a conscientious and self motivated Caretaker to join our supportive and collaborative team.
We strive to provide an aesthetically stimulating, nurturing environment for all our pupils and staff to learn, work, and play safely. The Caretaker will play a crucial role in keeping our school in perfect condition so our children can access the first-class education we can offer in an environment that is clean, safe and secure. You will have responsibility for security, monitoring, cleaning, building and maintenance.
You will be conscientious, dynamic and work well as part of the wider trust Estates team. To be considered for this role, you will need experience and knowledge of regulatory bodies and compliance. As a Caretaker you will be responsible for all planned maintenance, health and safety compliance, including carrying out and reviewing premises-related risk assessments and action plans. A good selection of DIY / Handyperson skills is essential.

Main Purpose of the job
- Responsible for the maintenance, security and cleanliness of the school site.
- Undertake minor repairs and maintenance in order to ensure the school can operate safely on a daily basis.
- Represents the school in dealing with contractors and suppliers involved in the repair and upkeep of the building and site, in the absence of the Premises Manager.
*A basic level of computer skills is required.
Previous experience in demonstrating practical skills and having a good understanding of health & safety within a school environment would be desirable.

The school has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016 to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.
