Job description

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Banquet Captain/Restaurant Supervisor to join the team at Zota Beach Resort in Longboat Key, FL. In this role, you will oversee banquet and restaurant operations, ensuring exceptional service and guest satisfaction. You will lead a team of service staff, coordinate events, and maintain high standards of hospitality in a dynamic beach resort environment.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily restaurant and banquet operations, ensuring excellent guest service and adherence to resort standards.
  • Coordinate and oversee banquet events, including setup, service execution, and breakdown.
  • Lead, train, motivate, and schedule front-of-house team members.
  • Monitor service quality, cleanliness, and presentation throughout all dining and event areas.
  • Ensure proper staffing levels and effective team communication during shifts and special events.
  • Address guest inquiries, requests, and concerns promptly and professionally.
  • Collaborate with culinary, events, and management teams to ensure seamless event and dining experiences.
  • Monitor inventory, supplies, and equipment; report maintenance and operational needs.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, health, and workplace safety regulations.
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and operational reporting as required.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma/GED a plus but not required
  • Previous Banquet Captain experience required
  • Must be able to read and communicate in English to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Must have AM & PM work availability
  • Must be able to work weekends and holidays
  • Previous guest service experience required.
  • Ability to work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team
  • Must be able to stand and exert fast-paced mobility for entire shift.
  • Able to work quickly without compromising quality.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
