Job description

Loureiro Contractors, Inc. is seeking an experienced Carpenter Foreman to join our Heavy Civil Construction team. This position is responsible for leading carpentry crews and performing concrete formwork operations on commercial and heavy civil construction projects throughout Connecticut. We are looking for a motivated professional with strong leadership skills, a commitment to safety, and experience in concrete construction.

What You’ll Do

  • Lead and supervise carpentry crews on heavy civil and commercial construction projects
  • Perform and oversee concrete formwork, including foundations, walls, slabs, and structural concrete
  • Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and project specifications
  • Coordinate daily work activities, materials, and equipment needs
  • Ensure quality workmanship and adherence to project schedules
  • Promote and enforce company safety policies and procedures
  • Wear PPE at all times and report incidents, accidents, and near misses
  • Collaborate with project teams in a fast-paced construction environment

  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions
  • Willing and able to travel to job sites throughout Connecticut

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of concrete carpentry experience
  • Prior foreman or supervisory experience preferred
  • Experience with concrete formwork systems, foundations, walls, slabs, and structural concrete
  • Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Knowledge of safe work practices and OSHA requirements
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
  • Carpenters Union membership preferred but not required
  • Ability to lift, carry, and move construction materials and equipment
