As we continue to expand to provide additional services to meet the needs of those we care for, we currently have a number of opportunities within our Orchard Orchard Residential Care division across Ireland for full time & part time Health Care Assistants, vacancies available in the following counties: Sligo, Leitrim, Roscommon, Westmeath and Cavan. Working on a shift rota, you will engage in daily activities and routines of the service, providing dedicated direct support to the people we care for as well as contributing to their development, health and wellbeing. Working hours will be 48 hours per week as part of rolling roster in place Rosters include 12 & 24 hour shifts Minimum Gross Annual Salary €40216 (minimum 2 years relevant work experience required) Purpose of role: The Health Care Assistant is expected to engage in daily activities and routines of the service that they are working in, inclusive of direct support to service users, administration work and daily household tasks required of them. The Health Care Assistant is required to work as part of a dedicated and innovative team within Residential Service providing a service to the people we support in line with national regulations and standards. Duties include but not limited to: Ensure delivery of a high standard of care Encourage recognition of the child/young person as an individual ensuring that their needs and comforts are given priority Ensure that all files are in line and ready for an inspection at any given time. To ensure that colleagues assist in all aspects of the child/young persons integrated care plan in a safe and observant manner Report requests, queries from children/adults/visitors to the Manager. Essential Requirements Relevant QQI Level 5 or equivalent
