Location: Austin, TX
Facility: Dell Children's Medical Center North Campus
Department/Specialty: Operating Room
Schedule: Day | Full Time 40 hours per week - Monday - Friday 6:30am-3pm with on call requirement.
What You Will Do
- Deliver Operating Room Registered Nurse care by providing direct patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures to ensure patient safety and optimal outcomes.
- Coordinate patient care and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to support efficient surgical workflows, clear communication, and high-quality clinical outcomes.
- Perform circulating nurse responsibilities by monitoring patient status, documenting care in the Electronic Health Record (EHR), and ensuring accurate clinical documentation.
- Provide scrub nurse support by maintaining sterile technique, preparing instruments, and assisting surgeons to promote procedural efficiency and patient safety.
What You Will Need
Licensure / Certification / Registration
- Registered Nurse credentialed from the Texas Board of Nursing obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
- One or more of the following required:
- Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
- BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
Education
- Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.
Additional Preferences
- 1 + years of OR RN experience
- Pediatric OR RN experience a plus
- BSN
