Animal House of Chicago is searching for an experienced Veterinary Assistant or Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our incredible team. As our hospital continues to grow with the addition of a new veterinarian, we're excited to welcome another talented technician to our four-doctor practice. What You'll Do
- Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, surgeries, and dental procedures
- Monitor anesthesia and surgical patients
- Perform venipuncture and collect diagnostic samples
- Provide compassionate nursing care and patient monitoring
- Educate clients on treatments, medications, and preventative care
- Maintain accurate patient records and support daily hospital operations
- Assist with occasional kennel responsibilities as needed
- Collaborate with doctors and teammates to deliver outstanding patient care
What Our Veterinary Technicians Bring
- Credentialed Veterinary Technician preferred, or a minimum of 3 years of veterinary assistant experience
- Surgical and anesthesia monitoring experience
- Proficiency with venipuncture
- Strong technical, organizational, and communication skills
- Passion for learning and growing professionally
- Exotic animal experience is a plus
- Spanish-speaking skills are a plus
- Positive attitude and commitment to teamwork
