Surgical Dental Assistant

Overview

Graig D. Brown, DDS, is seeking an experienced Surgical Dental Assistant to join our established periodontal practice in Tucson. We are looking for a dependable, team-oriented professional with strong surgical assisting skills, excellent communication abilities, and a compassionate approach to patient care.

Schedule: Full-Time | Monday–Thursday | 7:30 AM–5:00 PM

Work Location: In Person – Tucson, AZ

Pay: $25.00–$30.00 per hour

Responsibilities

• Assist the doctor during periodontal, implant, and oral surgery procedures
• Take digital X-rays and assist with cone beam CT imaging
• Prepare, sterilize, and maintain instruments and operatories
• Provide post-operative instructions and patient education
• Schedule follow-up and post-op appointments
• Maintain accurate patient records and treatment documentation
• Monitor inventory and maintain clinical supplies
• Ensure compliance with OSHA, infection control, and safety standards
• Support a positive patient experience and maintain relationships with referring offices

Qualifications

• Certified Dental Assistant (Required)
• Arizona X-Ray/Radiology Certification (Required)
• Minimum 2 years of surgical dental assisting experience (Required)
• Dental implant surgical experience (Required)
• Experience with digital radiography and CT imaging
• Dentrix experience preferred but not required
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
