Job Description

As a Security Officer Entry Screening in Carlisle, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic logistics and distribution location as an Access Control Officer, where you will monitor entry points, verify credentials, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence and strong communication. This role offers the chance to support daily operations with professionalism and customer service while reflecting our agile, reliable, and innovative approach, grounded in teamwork, care, and integrity.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or drivers by following site-specific access control procedures, verifying credentials, and documenting entry and exit activity at the location.
• Monitor access points, gates, and/or reception areas to help to deter unauthorized entry, support visitor processing, and report unusual activity according to post orders.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns and completing required reports as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the business, loading areas, parking areas, and perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location.
• Support security-related operations by maintaining accurate logs, communicating with site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership, and following emergency response activities when appropriate.

Minimum Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
