As a Security Officer Access Control in Carlisle, PA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Access Control and Patrol Officer where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, support a welcoming environment, and help to deter security-related incidents through visible presence and strong communication. What You'll Do
- Provide customer service to visitors and staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting concerns to site leadership when needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, entrances, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, assisting with directions, screening processes, and/or policy-related questions while maintaining a professional presence.
- Support site staff during routine operations and unexpected events by communicating clearly, assisting with de-escalation when appropriate, and following post orders and Allied Universal standards.
Minimum Requirements
- Be 21+ years of age.
- Have at least 1 year of security experience or the equivalent.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Comfortable using computer or tablet.
- Access control / Badge experience.
- Alarm panel experience.
- Customer service experience.
- Be able to walk and stand for long periods of time.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
