JOB SUMMARY: Provides physiotherapy care to clients in the Hand Program in accordance with established departmental standards and Hospital policy. This includes assessing and interpreting assessment findings, implementing and evaluating a treatment program and maintaining records for each patient treated. QUALIFICATIONS: Education & Experience:Baccalaureate degree in Physiotherapy. Current full registration as a Physiotherapist with the College of Health and Care Professionals of BC (CHCPBC).Eligible for membership in the Physiotherapy Association of British Columbia (PABC). Certification in Hand Therapy, five years of clinical practice with 2000 hours of Hand Therapy or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.Skills & Abilities:- Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing.- Ability to deal with others effectively.- Ability to deal effectively with emergent situations and exercise reasonable judgement when dealing with patients, families and staff.- Ability to organize workload.- Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.The hours of work including days off and work area may be subject to change consistent with operational requirements and the provision of the Collective Agreement and applicable statutes. Successful applicants may be required to complete a Criminal Records Review Check.
