As a Security Officer Driving Role Perimeter Patrol in Research Triangle Park, NC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Chemical/Petrochemical, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a chemical and petrochemical location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. What You'll Do
- Provide customer service to all persons at the location by following site-specific procedures, access protocols, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a chemical and petrochemical environment.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting security-related concerns and communicating with site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, production-adjacent areas, parking areas, and perimeter zones to help identify unusual activity, potential hazards, and/or unauthorized access.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorizations, and report policy violations, suspicious behavior, and other security-related issues according to post orders.
- Support Allied Universal and site personnel with routine reporting, shift activity logs, and clear communication regarding operational changes, maintenance concerns, and/or emergency conditions at the location.
Minimum Requirements
- A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
