Responsibilities

Position Summary

The AI Solutions Specialist serves as a strategic individual contributor within the Transformation Office, responsible for identifying, designing, and translating AI opportunities and broader transformation opportunities that enable enterprise efficiency and business value. This role partners with senior leadership, business lines, and technology teams to evaluate business problems through an AI lens, develop proof-of-concept and guide AI adoption in alignment with Old National Bank’s strategic objectives for responsible innovation and value creation. The position requires a blend of strategic thinking, process insight, and technical fluency to convert emerging AI capabilities into actionable use cases that optimize operations and enhance decision-making across the enterprise.

Salary Range

The salary range for this position is $77,900.00/yr - $153,000.00/yr. The base salary indicated for this position reflects the compensation range applicable to all levels of the role across the United States. Actual salary offers within this range may vary based on a number of factors, including the specific responsibilities of the position, the candidate’s relevant skills and professional experience, educational qualifications, and geographic location.

Key Accountabilities

  • Partner with business lines to assess transformation opportunities and determine AI applicability through structured intake and evaluation, quantifying potential ROI, efficiency gains, and business impact.
  • Translate business needs into clear, outcome driven AI use cases in alignment with the AI Center of Excellence and enterprise governance standards.
  • Contribute to enterprise transformation initiatives beyond AI by applying data driven analysis, design thinking, and solution delivery methods that enhance efficiency and business performance.
  • Collaborate across all levels of the enterprise, from executive leadership to front-line operations, and cross-functional teams including Technology, Risk, Compliance, and Operations, to prototype, test, and validate AI solutions that demonstrate measurable business value and transformation potential.
  • Lead discovery sessions and design workshops with subject-matter experts to identify AI enabled opportunities for efficiency and decision improvement.
  • Develop and refine knowledge bases and conversational AI agents, defining interaction logic and solution parameters for responsible AI deployment.
  • Present solution recommendations to leadership teams, supporting informed decision-making and organizational readiness for adoption.
  • Drive stakeholder adoption and organizational readiness through training facilitation, communication of AI value propositions, and building AI literacy that supports successful implementation and ownership transfer.
  • Support the Transformation Office Director in establishing frameworks, playbooks, and repeatable methods for AI-enabled transformation, including knowledge transfer and capability building for sustainable business line ownership.
  • Ensure AI solutions are implemented in alignment with the bank's ethical, regulatory, and security frameworks while maintaining consistency with Transformation Office principles, capability building, transfer-first design, and cross-functional orchestration.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Business, Technology, or related field required.

Professional Experience

  • Minimum 4+ years of progressive experience in digital transformation, business analysis, or technology enabled solution design within complex organizational environments.
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience leading or contributing to enterprise transformation or automation initiatives with measurable efficiency, scalability, or client experience outcomes, driving alignment across multiple business functions.
  • Demonstrated ability to evaluate and shape technology enabled approaches that address complex business challenges and advance operational effectiveness.
  • Proven success in partnering with cross-functional teams to deliver efficiency gains, reduce manual effort, and deliver measurable business improvements.
  • Strong communication skills with experience presenting technical concepts to executive audiences.

Technical and Domain Expertise (Required)

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to evaluate business processes, quantify improvement opportunities, and translate findings into structured solution requirements.
  • Demonstrated comfort learning and applying emerging technologies in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
  • Understanding of governance standards and the ability to ensure initiatives align with enterprise policy, risk management, and regulatory expectations.
  • Analytical expertise in evaluating initiatives to determine business value, efficiency gains, and measurable performance outcomes.

Technical and Domain Expertise (Preferred – May Develop on the Job)

  • Applied understanding of AI concepts including generative AI, large language models, and conversational AI.
  • Familiarity with enterprise AI platforms such as AWS Bedrock, AWS Quick, and Microsoft Copilot.
  • Understanding of AI model integration and data pipeline alignment.
  • Working knowledge of AI platforms, generative AI models and knowledge management systems.

Key Measures of Success/Key Deliverables

  • Deliver AI solutions or proofs of concept that demonstrate measurable efficiency gains or risk reduction within defined business processes.
  • Document value realization through quantitative outcomes such as cost avoidance, cycle time reduction, or productivity improvement.
  • Ensure alignment of AI initiatives with Transformation Office priorities and enterprise governance standards.
  • Maintain strong stakeholder and executive confidence in AI enablement delivery and cross-functional collaboration outcomes.
  • Contribute to the responsible AI framework and knowledge base to support scalable, future enterprise adoption.
