Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol and Screening in NEWARK, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Logistics & Distribution, and more. Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy logistics and distribution location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and help to deter security-related incidents through a visible presence. This role offers the chance to deliver outstanding customer service, support access activity, and work with a team that values being agile, reliable, innovative, and driven by integrity.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and drivers by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and sharing relevant information with site contacts and/or local authorities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility, trailer yards, parking areas, loading docks, and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and report unusual conditions.
• Monitor entry and exit activity for personnel, visitors, and delivery traffic, verify credentials and/or shipping paperwork as directed by site policies, and report access concerns or policy violations.
• Support daily operations by observing package handling and vehicle movement areas for security-related issues, maintaining detailed activity logs, and communicating clearly with supervisors and site representatives.

Minimum Requirements

• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A state, county, or city issued security license is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
