Job Description

As a Security Officer Patrol Services in Ontario, CA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a high-end retail location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication. In our agile, reliable, and innovative team, you will support daily operations with integrity, teamwork, and a people-first approach while creating a welcoming experience for shoppers and staff.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to visitors, shoppers, and store personnel by following site-specific procedures, access guidelines, and security-related policies, and/or supporting emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting details and communicating with local management and/or public responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the sales floor, entrances, receiving areas, parking areas, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or conditions that may need attention.
• Monitor assigned locations for suspicious behavior, policy violations, and/or operational concerns, and report observations according to site expectations and Allied Universal protocols.
• Assist with access control, opening and closing procedures, and customer assistance requests while maintaining a professional presence in a retail environment.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
