Job Description
As a Security Officer Deterrence Patrol in Boston, MA , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Financial Institutions, and more. Our Security Officers monitor and patrol a financial institution location, helping to discourage security-related incidents while delivering exceptional customer service and communication. In this unarmed patrol role, you will complete routine rounds, support access awareness, and assist with incident response and reporting. What You'll Do
- Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities at a financial services location.
- Respond to incidents, unusual activity, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner while following post instructions and Allied Universal protocols.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including lobbies, common areas, parking areas, and perimeter access points, to help to deter unauthorized activity.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and visitor activity, and report suspicious behavior, maintenance concerns, and/or policy violations to the appropriate contact.
- Support access control activities by checking credentials, documenting visitor and vendor arrivals, and communicating clearly with staff, guests, and/or first responders as needed.
Minimum Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years of security-related experience is required.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
