Job Summary and Responsibilities

As an Advanced Practice Provider (APP), you will be a pivotal healthcare professional, delivering compassionate, high-quality care that truly impacts our patients' well-being and recovery.Every day, you will leverage your expertise to provide individualized, comprehensive care, making critical assessments, performing skilled procedures, and meticulously implementing patient care plans.   • Performs routine physical/psychosocial assessment to collect basic data: follows the written plan of care, standards, practice guidelines, utilizes pathways, which includes notifying physicians as appropriate
  • Formulates a plan of care for individual needs, including patient population needs. Participates in the planning of routine transitional health care needs (i.e. treatment options, patient placement options)
  • Adapts planned educational programs and information to individual patients and family by modifying teaching strategies or content. Integrates education during the delivery of patient care
  • Ensures efficiency in the delivery of care to determine immediate priorities and to offer solutions for problems
  • Makes independent clinical decisions based on knowledge drawn from education and experience
  • Actively advocates for patient rights and identifies potential conflict. Seeks counsel for resolution of conflict

Job Requirements

Required

  • Graduate as a Nurse Practitioner from an accredited school of nursing (MSN) OR
  • Graduate as a PA from an instititution accredited by the Commission on Education of Physician Assistants (with a Bachelors Degree)
  • NP or PA with Critical Care and/or Emergency Care experience required
  • One year of experience in an acute hospital setting required
  • Advanced Trauma Life Support training required
  • Current ACLS and BLS certifications required (must be certified through the American Heart Association)

Preferred

  • English-Spanish bilingual fluency preferred
  • Prefer an NP with ACNP or Trauma Trained PA-C
  • Prefer PAs with a Masters Degree
