KP818 - Newborn Care Specialist - NYC

Overview

A local newborn care specialist is sought for a family in NYC starting approximately the first week of January (due date). The schedule will be 7 am-7 pm, 6-7 days a week for approximately 3-3.5 months (from January through mid-April).

Responsibilities

• Prioritizing the safety and well-being of the baby at all times
• Establishing a reliable/ consistent sleep and feeding routine
• Facilitate developmentally appropriate daytime activities such as tummy time, reading, and sensory play
• Help clean and sterilize bottles and pump parts
• Handle daily bathing, diapering, and general hygiene
• Bathing and preparing the baby for the night
• Maintain a clean and tidy nursery and restock diapers, wipes, and other supplies as needed.
• Maintain baby laundry
• Monitor and track the baby's development
• Travel with the family, when required

Qualifications

• Must have at least 5 years of verifiable experience working as a newborn care specialist
• Must have formal NCS training
• Must be very organized, clean, punctual, and tidy
• Candidates should be warm, collaborative, and supportive

Requirements

• US passport, Green Card, or EAC
• Must be CPR certified
• Up to date on Flu/RSV/Tdap and MMR vaccinations
• Available to commit to the full contract term
• Must be pet-friendly - the family has one small dog
